INTRODUCTION
Intel RealSense technology helps developers enable a Natural User Interface (NUI) for their gesture recognition platforms. The gesture recognition platform seamlessly integrates with Intel RealSense technology for NUI across segments of applications on arious platforms. We use RealSense Technology to interact with real world objects. When we implement this technology on a device, then it allows your devices to sense depth and see things in three dimensions rather than just two dimensional flat images. This third dimension opens up a world of possibilities for you to interact with and make use of your computers and devices. It will make the interaction and manipulation far easier. In this paper we will discuss about the architecture, key features of this technology, depth sensing cameras, and various futuristic applications of this technology.
Intel RealSense, formerly known as Intel Perceptual Computing is a platform for implementing gesture-based human- computer interaction techniques. It consists of series of consumer grade 3D cameras together with an easy to use machine perception library that simplifies supporting the cameras for third-party software developers. RealSense technology allows us to recognize and understand inputs from our hands, face voice as well as from the surrounding environment. And also RealSense is a platform for implementing gesture based human-computer interaction techniques. According to Intel, computer vision enabled by Real Sense can be used in all kinds of applications ranging from robots to computer games to vending machines that interact with people around them. Now, with the Intel Real Sense camera the devices will have human like senses. Smart phones, tablets and other devices will be able to understand their user. This technology can be fully leveraged by software development via Intel Real Sense SDK (Software Development Kit). It adds “human - like” senses to computing devices.
